Another question you may want to consider is whether you have any rights under the PA Workers Compensation Statutue, was this a work injury? Eight weeks for spinal surgery seems like a very quick turn around to return to work. Also, depending on the level of disability, if you have an injury affecting a major bodily function, have a history of such a condition or are regarded as having such a condition, there may be some protections. Are you able to do the job that you would be returning to?
