Non compete agreement too broad and not signed. Not sure if I can join new employer

The noncompete must be reasonable in time and scope and their are generally a number of defenses. There is a checklist of items that would have to be looked at. It sounds as if you have a good defense if it was not signed, but more facts are needed. Someone would have to read the whole clause and get all of the facts before giving any reliable advice.
